Time changes people's behavior

When I was 14, my brother's friends used to come home and my bro asks me to go inside the room and as I go, he locks it outside. He doesn't want his friends to see me or vice versa.. I still don't understand..

Today, one of his friend visited home and as a habit I went inside the room and was waiting for him to lock it outside.. Surprisingly, he asked me to come out and introduced me to his friend. It was quite shocking for me. I felt weird.
