The day I turned into a boulanger

I decided to bake a cake few days back yeah?

I went to a baking class last year. So, I had the wonderful recipe Of 'Vanilla cake with butter cream frosting'. I know.. The name itself is mouth watering :P

You know my friend? The genius. Thank god, I have her! She was the one , who suggested me to use that recipe otherwise, I was going crazy looking for recipes on internet.

My mom used to bake cakes and pastries when I was young and she lost her interest in it after we moved to india. I really have no idea, why. So, I had all those baking accessories with me. Like EVERYTHING that I can actually set up a bakery of my own :P

And I started making. All was going well until my bro decided to tasted the mixture when it was almost done and ready to be put inside the oven.

Bro takes a small amount of mixture and tasted. And on seeing the way his face changed, I decided to taste it too. Something was surely wrong but I couldn't figure it out.

I called The genius who is a Pro at baking :P No, I'm not kidding. She really is :D

Guess what?

There was an ingredient named 'Sifted Self raising  flour' in the recipe and your's truly thought it's the alternative name for baking powder. :|

So, instead of adding a tsp of baking powder, I added 3/4 cups! Imagine! Oops.

I threw the mixture straight into the dustbin.

I did not give up, though :D Made it again properly.

Delicious Cake was melting in my mouth, 25 mins later :)
